Malcolm Robertson
Managing Director
I’m one of the original owners of BQI Protection along with the group’s founders Andy Brown and Sean Quinn. We set up this business in Sept 2018 of which I had a 50% share.
I started my financial services career at HSBC, before moving to an independent life assurance broker. I spent 14 years there working my way into senior management and building a business within a business.
Our purpose is to provide excellent life, illness and private medical advice for companies, families, and employees, in the way we know is best for them. Passion, persistence, and patience can conquer almost everything we do in this area.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my better half who's the mother of our four children. Along with dog walks with Barney my old chocolate Lab and Alan the puppy boarder terrier. This is apart from when the legendry Liverpool FC are playing.
Louise Whitaker
Operations Manager
I’m Louise, I’m the Operations Manager at BQI Protection based in Wellingborough. I joined BQI in December 2018 with over 15 year’s legal and insurance experience.
Prior to joining BQI I’ve worked in several senior positions, including working with a leading insurer as part of their training, management and development team whilst also qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
At BQI Protection I manage client services who support the advisor/client journey. Parallel to this I also review our policies and procedures to ensure compliance is maintained and the client receives continued award-winning service.
Outside of work, I’m a complete gym freak and also enjoy countryside walks with a gentle giant Alaskan Malamute and a nutty miniature Cockapoo!
Matt Page
Business Protection Manager
I'm Matt, I’m the Business Protection Manager at BQI Protection based in Wellingborough. I joined BQI in July 2019 after spending 9 years in financial services at one of the biggest independent advice brokers in the UK.
BQI Protection has provided new and exciting challenges to develop the advice offering that we give to all our clients to stand out from the competition but also the responsibility to help develop junior advisers to be able to provide the same level of service to everyone we speak to so we can best help with their life, health, and illness protection to provide peace of mind.
Outside of work, my time is spent with my wife and 2 boys, planning our next set of travels to explore more of the world, in between playing computer games and watching films.
Nathan Vincent
Business Protection Manager
I’m Nathan, one of the Business Protection Managers at BQI Protection, based in Wellingborough. I joined BQI in July 2023 after spending 8 years providing protection advice at one of the UK’s largest independent advice brokers.
Since joining BQI Protection, I’ve taken on new and exciting challenges that have helped me further develop the advice and service I provide to clients. I’m passionate about delivering a high level of personal service and helping individuals, families, and business owners find the right life, health, and illness protection solutions to give them real peace of mind.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the gym, socialising with friends and family, and travelling the world with my wife and two daughters.
Daniel Vincent
Business Protection Manger
My name is Dan, and I am a Business Protection Manager at BQI Protection. I specialise in providing professional advice and a tailored service to both individuals and business owners, helping them protect their families, finances, and businesses in the right way.
I take pride in building strong relationships with my clients, taking the time to understand their personal and business circumstances so I can recommend protection solutions that are suited to their specific needs. My aim is to provide clear, straightforward advice and ongoing support to give clients confidence and peace of mind for the future
Outside of work, I am a family man with a wife and four children, and I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I am also passionate about running as a way to stay fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Charlie Allen
Client Support Specialist
‘I’m Charlie, a Client Support Specialist at BQI Protection based in Wellingborough, I joined BQI in February 2024 having previously worked in customer service roles.
Since Joining BQI Protection, I have been provided with a number of exciting opportunities to develop and deepen my knowledge of the protection industry whilst maintaining the high levels of service that give our clients the peace of mind that they have come to the right place.
Outside of work I enjoy watching the football, spending time with friends and family and travelling the world.’
Diana Rattley

I’m Diana, I’m the Client Support Specialist at BQI Protection based in Wellingborough
I joined BQI in April 2026 with 20yrs Account Management Experience
Working as part of the client’s services team, BQI Protection has provided a new and exciting challenge to develop my insurance knowledge whilst continuing to provide excellent customer service and account management.
Supporting the advisors and client’s journey to ensure a smooth, peace of mind service is delivered.
Outside of work I hold a Jnr Black Belt in K1 Kickboxing, nothing better than a good gym session to get you motivated!
You will either find me training, in the middle of a dance floor or on a chilled walk with a coffee and my two adorable Cavapoo’s

Client Support Specialist
Here’s what you’d be doing:
• Processing initial enquiries from new customers
• Completing online life applications
• Completing trust documentation
• Supporting and assisting the Protection Advisers
• Talking to customers over the phone and email
• Getting involved in general office administration
About you
To be successful you’ll need to have previous administration experience, along with;
• Minimum of one year’s customer service experience
• GCSEs in Maths and English up to (c) or level (6)
• Confidence talking to a range of people
• Strong communication skills both written and, on the phone,
• Great computer skills across several programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word
• A positive, can-do attitude, someone who prides themselves on their reliability
Salary: £18,000 to £23,000pa, dependant on experience
The position is based at our Wellingborough office.
